First tests show successfully charged electric bus

This week, the first tests charging an electric bus from the electric road took place in Lund. These first tests were successful and showed that the electric road charges the electric test bus with 70 amperes when the bus is stationary. The next step is to test charging the bus while driving.

The tests of the electric road are performed one week per month. All tests are monitored from a technology center located outside ’Kemicentrum’ on Getingevägen in Lund. The electric road is installed in the bus lane and ordinary traffic is expected to flow without interruption during the test period.
